The AFC U14 Football Festival got underway on March 30,
2006, with the commencement of the “C” license coaching course.
Six candidates from Guam and two candidates from Japan are
taking part in the course organized by AFC. The Festival
will bring together five teams from four countries including
Japan , Korea Republic , Macao and hosts Guam . There will
also be a Referees course and Head Coach course conducted
prior to the competition. Participants from the associations
participating will learn new skills, techniques, and share
ideas with the goal of improving the game of football.
The festival highlights conclude with the competition among
the teams set to take place from April 6-12. Two days of
short games will be followed by a day of skill tests. Finally,
two days of full 60 minute matches will follow and an all-star
match will conclude the festival. Everyone is invited to
attend.
Coaches are invited to attend and participate in the nightly
demonstrations of the “C” license course. Those run from
5:00 to 8:30 pm. Techniques and practical skills are displayed
to improve the knowledge of the coaches.
