E. Lemapu: 5 years old

2. How did you get involved with soccer?

E. Lemapu: Parents and friends.

3. What positions have you played?

E. Lemapu: I’ve tried all the position but I mainly play defense.

4. Which position is your most favorite and least favorite? And why?

E. Lemapu: My most favorite position is defense because there is a lot of pressure on you to defend the goal. My least favorite is mid-field because there is so much responsibility feeding the forwards and getting back to defend.

E. Lemapu:Trust the coach because when you trust him everything he taught will just come back to you instantly.

7. What is the best part about training?

E. Lemapu: Having fun, but at the same time trying to make yourself better as well as your teammates.

8. What is the hardest part about training?

E. Lemapu: Coming together as a team seems to be the hardest because some girls aren’t used to playing with other and that’s where the communication needs to come.

9. If you were to do it all over again, would you?

E. Lemapu: YES!! I’ve learned a lot and to further my knowledge of the sports makes me become even better!!

E. Lemapu: Keep practicing and honestly you can be the best player skill wise but if you have the heart for the game you will be able to play way better.

11. If you were a spokesperson for Guam Football Association Women’s Football and you need to give a speech to inspire your fellow female athletes, what would you say to promote soccer?

E. Lemapu:Soccer is a game full of intensity. Some people may have great skill while others are still learning but in the end it matters who has heart. Just watching a game you can tell who is just out there to exercise or to be with friends while others you can see they play with such passion, heart, and their lives are devoted to soccer. Play with your heart and the beauty of the sport will come along with so many other things.

12. What is your fondest memory of playing soccer?
