1. How old were you when you started playing soccer?

A. Rabena: 8 years old.

2. How did you get involved with soccer?

A. Rabena: Family.

3. What positions have you played?

A. Rabena: Defense, Midfield, Striker.

4. Which position is your most favorite and least favorite? And why?

A. Rabena: My most favorite position is a striker because I enjoy scoring.  My least favorite position will have to be goalie because I do not appreciate being shot at.

5. How would you describe your experience on the national team?

A. Rabena: I would describe my experience on the national team as a roller coaster ride.  It has its ups and downs but in the end it’s all worth it.

6. What would you like to share with all the other female soccer athletes about playing soccer for the national team?

A. Rabena: It is a good way to meet and challenge other teams from different parts of the world.

7. What is the best part about training?

A. Rabena: Water breaks.

8. What is the hardest part about training?

A. Rabena: Conditioning.

9. If you were to do it all over again, would you?

A. Rabena: Yes.

10. What tips or secret ingredient would you give to others that desire to be on the national team?

A. Rabena: Come to practice prepared physically and mentally.  Be ready to learn, train hard and to never give up.

11. If you were a spokesperson for Guam Football Association Women’s Football and you need to give a speech to inspire your fellow female athletes, what would you say to promote soccer?

A. Rabena: I would say that The Guam Football Association Women’s Team is a great way to sharpen your skills as a soccer player.  Training with the national team gives you a whole different perspective of how the game of soccer is played.  This program gives you the opportunity to travel to different parts of the world where you get to challenge and make new friends with various teams.

12. What is your fondest memory of playing soccer?

A. Rabena:Coaches Ron Canos and Gerry Lunod of the SSHS soccer team’s warm-up routine before playing in a championship game.

13. What has been your biggest disappointment in football?

A. Rabena: Getting cut.

14. What is your favorite type of music?

A. Rabena: Acoustic.

15. Favorite book?

A. Rabena: Harry Potter

16. Your favorite film?

A. Rabena: Mulan

17. Your favorite city?

A. Rabena: NONE

18. Favorite hobby?

A. Rabena: Photography.

19.  Who has been the most influential figure to you?
A. Rabena: Parents

20. What is your main strength?

A. Rabena: Being easily amused.

21. What qualities do you appreciate?

A. Rabena: Optimism, modesty, honesty, friendliness, intelligence, and perseverance.

22. What are you afraid of?

A. Rabena: Insects and animals, especially dogs

23. Who would you most like to meet?

A. Rabena: .y husband whose an Italian soccer playing swimming chiropractor.

24. Where do you see yourself in 3 years in regards to soccer?

A. Rabena: I see myself playing with teams in states either in the college level or in clubs.

25. What are your goals/ambitions?

A. Rabena: To get a college degree, find a job I enjoy doing, and be able to play sports.
