| 12/28/07 : ---Men's League Only---
There will be a new rule added the second half of the BGMSL. Effective January 1, 2008, all participants in the BGMSL must be active members of GFA. This means that all participants must purchase a GFA membership card (.what we know as the "PLAYER CARD").
This rule applies to coaches, trainers, referees, and league officials as well. I have purchased my card this afternoon (Friday, 12/28/08).
Without a valid GFA membership card, an individual cannot be on the field or in the player's bench area during a game. An individual without a GFA membership card will be considered a spectator. All spectators will be required to view the game from the designated "SPECTATOR'S AREA".
Please obtain a 2008, GFA Player Card, prior to the commencement of the BGMSL 2nd half season. Bill Bordallo, GFA office manager, confirmed today that the GFA Harmon office will be open from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm, Monday through Friday. The office will not close during the lunch hour. Due to the New Year's Day holiday, the GFA office will be closed all day on Tuesday, 1/01/08. The D2 starts back up on Thursday, 1/03/08. D1 returns on Sunday, 1/06/08.
Additionally, be sure to remind your team manager of the upcoming BGMSL mid-season meetings. D2 will meet on Wednesday, 1/02/08. D1 will meet on Thursday, 1/03/08. All meetings will take place at 7:00 pm, at the GFA Harmon soccer facility.
Best wishes for a great second half of the men's league season.

Commissioner
Budweiser Guam Men's Soccer League
| 12/20/07 : The GFA Board has recently voted to increase the membership fess for 2008 as follows: Youth $30 Adult $35 The increase is necessary to offset the increase in utilities and maintenance of the new facilities that have been made available to us since the fall of 2004. Please keep in mind there has not been an increase in fees for several years and that the new fees ensure that the facility can be maintained and operated properly for the benefit of the members of the association and the general public as well. Cards for 2008 will not be made available until the beginning of the new year. Due to the second half of the Men's league starting on January 3rd, 2008 registration forms for the Mens league players will be made available beginning today and receipts will be issued as proof of registration. Cards will be issued when they become available. Thank you for your kind understanding and we wish you and yours another healthy and successful year of soccer.
| 11/11/07 : Parking Lot Vandals. On Sunday, November 11, during a 5 PM men’s league game, a player’s vehicle was burglarized. This car was parked in the paved parking area, and within clear view of many spectators. This is not an unusual occurrence at the GFA facility.
Please do not leave any personal items in your car while parked at the GFA Soccer Facility. Take all personal items with you. Your locked car is no guarantee of safety against these ongoing crimes.

| 09/22/07 : ----REFEREES NEEDED---- Sadly, the necessary evil, for this passion of ours, is the infamous referee. Why not become one of those “bad guys” yourself? Certified center referees in the BGMSL earn $50.00 per game. Certified A.R.s (Linesmen) earn $35.00 per game. There is even a league management position, the Field Marshal, which can gross $35.00 per game as well.
Contact this email address, info@guamfootball.com, and GFA will forward your information onto the proper individuals.
| 02/23/07 : Important Notice Over the past two consecutive weeks of the BGMSL, player’s vehicles located in the new paved parking area have been burglarized. In two separate incidents, windows have been smashed and items stolen from the interior. This location in not lighted at night. Please consider parking your vehicle in the unpaved parking area, located behind the northwest goal.
